  • 3 lb. boneless beef round steak
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 2 (4 oz.) cans mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef broth (undiluted)
  • 1 1/2 c. (12 oz.) sour cream
  • hot cooked noodles

    Cut steak into 3 x 1 1/2-inch strips. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine flour, salt, mustard and pepper. Add beef in batches. Toss to coat. In a 5-quart slow cooker, layer the onion, mushrooms and beef. Pour broth over all. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours or until meat is tender.
