  • shortening (egg size)
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

    Add milk and flour mix alternately to sugar and shortening mixture which has been creamed.

    Add egg and beat smooth.

    Cook in greased and floured cake pan.

    Makes one layer.

    Can be frosted or used with sauce.
