- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 8 ounces finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup chopped toasted pecans (or more if you like, I like it very nutty)
- 2 drops liquid smoke (to taste)

1Mix the cheeses together thoroughly (this may take some muscle, depending on how soft the cream cheese is).

2Add the liquid smoke and mix thoroughly again.

3Fold in the pecans.

4Taste for smokiness and add more liquid smoke to taste.
