- 2 pounds chicken legs
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Lawry's season salt
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
Directions

1Mix rub ingredients and season chicken legs well on all sides.

2Cover and refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.

3Set up your grill for indirect heat with a drip pan in the middle.

4Place legs on the grill over the drip pan and add wet hickory wood chips.

5Smoke at about 325F for an hour +.

6Add more wet hickory wood chips as needed.

7When the chicken legs have an internal temperature of 170F (about an hour and 15 minutes) remove from the grill and let cool a few minutes before serving.
