  • 1 large or 2 small heads cabbage, quartered and cored
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 toes garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. bacon drippings or vegetable oil
  • 1/2 lb. pickled rib tips, diced
  • 1/2 lb. seasoning ham, diced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes

Directions

    Soak cabbage in water.

    Shake off excess water and place in pot with heated bacon drippings or oil.

    Add other ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes.

    Stir occasionally.
