Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. round steak
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 - 3 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 1 med. onion, sliced
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 c. water
  • 4 beef bouillon cubes or 4 tsp. bouillon granules

    Salt and pepper meat.

    Brown meat in Crisco.

    Take meat out. Saute the onions into the rest of Crisco.

    Add 4 Tbsp. flour, mixing well.

    Add water in which bouillon cubes or granules have been dissolved.

    Place meat in baking dish and pour bouillon mixture on top.

    Cover and bake at 325°F for 2 hrs.

    This makes its own gravy and is great served with mashed potatoes.
