- 1 German chocolate cake mix
- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Make cake as directed on package.

2Pour half of batter in large greased pan and bake 20 minutes at 350°.

3Melt caramels, milk and margarine over low heat.

4Pour caramel mixture over cake. Mix chocolate chips and nuts, sprinkle onto caramel mixture. Then smooth rest of the cake batter over this mixture.

5Lower oven to 200°; bake 10 minutes, then increase to 350° and bake until done.
