Ingredients
- 1 c. soft oleo
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Mix together oleo, sugar, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.

2Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and soda.

3Stir into creamed mixture.

4Chill overnight.

5Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.

6Dip tops of balls in plain white sugar or colored sugars for holidays or with cinnamon added to white sugar.

7Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

8Bake 8 to 10 minutes (or less) in 360° to 375° oven until lightly browned.

9These cookies puff up at first then flatten out round with crinkled tops.

10Some time ago, these cookies won a Blue Ribbon at the Morgan County Fair.
