  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Cream butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt together.

    Blend into creamed mixture.

    Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. Combine 3 teaspoons sugar and cinnamon; roll balls in mixture. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown on ungreased cookie sheet.
