- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1In mixing bowl, cream butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

3Blend milk and vanilla.

4Thoroughly stir together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt; stir into cream mixture. Blend in chopped nuts.

5Form dough into 1-inch balls.

6Place balls 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

7Lightly flatten balls with sugar and cinnamon bottom of tumbler.

8Bake cookies at 375° until done, 10 to 12 minutes.

9Makes about 8 dozen.
