- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Mix shortening, sugar, butter and eggs and cream.

2Sift the flour, cream of tartar, salt and baking soda together.

3Add to creamed mixture.

4Put into refrigerator to chill so it can be handled.

5Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.

6Roll balls in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

7Press each cookie with a damp cloth.

8Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.
