  • 1 c. soft butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Mix the butter, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Stir in the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Chill about 1 hour.

    Roll into balls the size of walnuts.

    Roll balls into the sugar and cinnamon.

    Place on ungreased baking sheet.

    Bake in preheated 400° oven 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned but still soft.
