  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon

    Preheat oven to 400°.

    Combine shortening, sugar and eggs; mix together.

    Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; add to shortening mixture.

    Roll the dough into small balls; roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
