- 1 c. (1/2 lb.) butter or margarine, softened
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. each baking soda and cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Large bowl, use electric mixer.

2Beat butter, 1 1/3 cups sugar until creamy.

3Beat in eggs and vanilla.

4In other bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt.

5Gradually add to butter mix, blend thoroughly.

6Small bowl combine cinnamon and 3 tablespoons sugar.

7Roll dough into balls, then roll in cinnamon-sugar mix to coat.

8Place at least 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheets.

9Bake at 375° for 12 minutes or until lightly brown.

10Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
