Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. softened margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Cream margarine and Crisco with 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

    Blend the flour mixture into the creamed mixture.

    Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls.

    Blend together cinnamon and 3 tablespoons of sugar.

    Roll cookie dough balls in cinnamon and sugar and place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 400° for 8 minutes or until golden on top.

    Cool on racks.
