  • cinnamon
  • 1 c. soft shortening/margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs.
  2. 2
    Sift together the flour, salt, tartar and soda and stir into first mixture.
  3. 3
    Form dough into 2-inch balls and roll each in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon.
  4. 4
    Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.
