  • 1 c. soft shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Cream shortening together with sugar and eggs.

    Sift dry ingredients together and add.

    Mix well.

    Roll into balls about the size of a walnut.

    Roll balls into a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 8 to 10 minutes at 400°. Cool on flat surface.
