Ingredients
- 1/2 c. soft shortening
- 1/2 c. soft butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Mix shortening, sugar and eggs together.

2Sift remaining ingredients.

3Blend the two mixtures.

4Chill dough.

5Roll into balls the size of a walnut, then roll in mixture of 2 Tbsp. sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon.

6Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes (I bake mine 8 minutes**).

7These cookies will puff up at first, then flatten with crinkled tops. Yields about 36 cookies.
