Ingredients

  • 1 c. soft butter
  • 1 c. soft Crisco
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 1/2 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Mix together butter, Crisco, 3 cups sugar and eggs.

    Sift dry ingredients together and stir in.

    Roll into small balls size of small walnuts.

    Roll balls into sugar and cinnamon mixture.

    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes, until lightly browned, but still soft.

    Makes 10 dozen.
