  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon-for topping
  • 2 tbsp sugar-for topping

    Preheat oven to 350F

    Cream butter and sugar

    Add eggs and beat in

    Sift together all other ingredients and slowly add to mixture, beating well as you go

    Mix sugar and cinnamon in small bowl for topping

    Roll into balls and roll in sugar/cinnamon then place on lightly greased baking sheet

    Bake for 8 minutes
