Ingredients

  • 3 envelopes Dream Whip
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 4 Tbsp. cold water
  • 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 envelopes Knox gelatine (plain)
  • 1 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 angel food cake

Directions

    Soften gelatine in cold water; add boiling water.

    Stir until dissolved.

    Add sugar, lemon juice and crushed pineapple (including juice).

    Chill until partially firm.

    Whip 2 envelopes Dream Whip according to directions on package.

    Fold into gelatine mixture.

    Spread into a 9 x 12 x 2-inch pan.

    Break bits of angel food cake and spread gelatine mixture.

    Repeat until all cake and gelatine mixture are used.

    Chill.

    Prepare third envelope of Dream Whip; spread on top of cake and cover with coconut.

    Chill until ready to serve.
