  • 1/2 c. butter/oleo
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • sweet chocolate, melted

Directions

    Mix sugar, butter, egg and flavoring well.

    Stir dry ingredients and blend into shortening mixture.

    Chill for one hour.

    Heat oven to 400°.

    Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on floured board.

    Cut into small stars.

    Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 6 to 8 minutes.

    Cool.

    Put two cookies together with melted chocolate.

    Decorate, if desired.
