Soap Balls
3 ingredients
10 steps
Ingredients
- 1 c. Ivory Snow
- 1/8 c. water
- food coloring
Directions
-
1Whipped soap can be made with either soap or detergent.
-
2Soap retains color in foam better and is easier to clean up, too.
-
3Soap flakes give a better texture than powdered soap.
-
4The child makes whipped soap himself.
-
5First, s/he pours water into mixing bowl and adds soap flakes.
-
6S/he beats soapy water with eggbeater until mixture is frothy, but not stiff.
-
7(If soap gets too stiff, it will be too difficult to use because it gets too slippery to apply. Also it will crack when it dries.)
-
8S/he stirs in color (food color or tempera).
-
9Colors will be pale.
-
10You can use without color to look like snow.
