  • 6 egg whites
  • 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. soda crackers, ground up
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Directions

    Beat egg whites until frothy; add cream of tartar.

    Beat until stiff, gradually adding sugar.

    Beat well; add vanilla.

    Fold in soda crackers and chopped nuts.

    Bake in 12 x 8-inch glass pan, well greased and floured, at 350° for 25 minutes.
