- 1 c. butter
- 2 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white corn syrup
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chocolate bits
- 8 oz. chocolate bar (milk or dark)
Directions

1Melt butter in a 3-quart heavy saucepan.

2Add sugar.

3Stir thoroughly.

4Add corn syrup; stir.

5Gradually add milk.

6Cook (stirring) to 240° (30 minutes) or soft ball.

7Add vanilla.

8Pour into a 9 x 18-inch pan.

9Cool and score.

10Can be dipped in chocolate.

11Melt together chocolate chips and chocolate bar.

12Keep hot; dip candy (using 2 forks) until well coated.

13Place on cookie sheet or wax paper.

14Chill.
