Ingredients

  • 1 small (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
  • 1 Tbsp. fat
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 c. canned, drained tomatoes
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, grated or cubed
  • corn tortillas

Directions

    Saute chilies in fat.

    Add onions, garlic, sugar and tomatoes. Simmer for about 1 hour.

    Just before serving, add evaporated milk and cheese.

    Heat until cheese is melted.

    Dip tortillas in sauce; roll up and place in baking dish.

    Pour remaining sauce over the top and serve.
