  • 3/4 c. margarine or shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 4 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Cream together thoroughly the margarine, sugar, eggs and molasses.

    Mix in dry ingredients.

    Form into walnut size (or desired size) balls.

    Roll in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheets.

    Bake at 350° for 6 to 8 minutes, or until tops are beginning to turn golden.

    Do not overbake.
