  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 egg
  • kosher salt

Directions

    Mix together yeast, sugar, salt and water.

    Sift a mound of flour, about 4 cups and add to the yeast mixture.

    Stir until dough is completely moistened.

    Turn mixture on lightly floured board and knead to make soft smooth dough.

    Pinch off pieces; roll into ropes and shape into pretzels.
