- 1/2 tsp. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. warm water
- 3/8 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. sugar
- 2 c. flour
Directions

1Combine the yeast, water, salt and sugar.

2Stir in the flour a little at a time until the dough is stiff enough to knead.

3Knead dough until it becomes soft, about 5 minutes.

4Cover cookie sheet with foil and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon flour.

5Shape pretzels and place on prepared cookie sheet.

6Brush with mixture of 1/2 cup water and 1 teaspoon baking soda.

7Sprinkle with coarse salt.

8Bake at 400° until lightly brown (about 15 to 20 minutes).
