  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • egg white
  • sesame or poppy seed

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients in a bowl and mix.

    Stir in flour and egg yolk.

    Knead dough on a floured board.

    Shape into pretzels.

    Paint with beaten egg white and roll in sesame or poppy seed.

    Grease cookie sheet and bake at 425° for 8 to 10 minutes. Serve warm with mustard.
