- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. yeast
- 1 tsp. honey
- 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
- 3/4 c. white flour
- 1 egg
- sesame seed
- 1/4 c. Cheddar cheese (optional)
- vegetable oil (to grease pan)
Directions

1Start yeast growing, then mix yeast, honey and water.

2Wait 5 to 10 minutes until foamy. While waiting, grate the cheese.

3Mix flours and yeast until dough is smooth and can be easily stretched (5 to 10 minutes).

4Mix in cheese.

5Make 6 to 8 balls of mixture and roll into snake and shape into pretzel.

6Place on greased cookie sheet. Beat the egg and brush on top.

7Sprinkle with sesame seed.

8Bake at 425° for 10 to 15 minutes.

9Brown, but still soft.
