  • 1/2 Nagaimo yam
  • 2 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 Salt and pepper
  • 1 Soy sauce or garlic soy sauce
  • 1 Bonito flakes

Directions

    Peel the yam and cut into 1.5 cm slices.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    Heat oil in a frying pan and pan-fry the yams until browned on both sides.

    Lower the heat to low and add in the sake.

    Cover with a lid and steam for 5 minutes.

    Once a skewer can be inserted through them easily, drizzle in the soy sauce in a circular motion.

    Serve up and garnish with bonito flakes.
