  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 ounces white cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 1 large tomatoes, sliced thin
  • 8 large fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh basil or 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

    Place bread on a baking sheet and broil 1 to 2 minutes, on each side, to toast.

    Top with cheese slices and broil until cheese begins to melt, 1 to 2 minutes; remove from oven.

    Top with slice tomato and basil leaves.

    In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar and oil; sprinkle over toasts.
