- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 1 c. sour cream
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

3In a medium bowl, beat the egg, milk and margarine.

4Add egg mixture and sour cream to flour mixture.

5Stir until just blended.

6Pour mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan.

7Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden and wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
