- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 c. Sourdough Starter
- butter or margarine
Directions

1Mix flour, baking powder, soda and salt.

2Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.

3Add Sourdough Starter and stir only until moistened.

4Turn onto floured surface and knead until smooth.

5Roll or pat 1/2 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.

6Brush with butter and let rise in warm place about 1 hour. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 425°.
