- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- 1 c. Sourdough Starter
- 4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water; add 1 cup starter and 4 cups flour, sugar and salt.

2Cover with cloth, let rise in warm place until double in size.

3Then mix 1 cup flour and soda.

4Stir this into dough, adding enough flour to make a stiff dough.

5Knead on a flour dusted board until smooth and shiny.

6Shape dough into half loaf sizes; place in greased bread pans.

7Place in warm place until again doubled in size.

8Bake in a 400° oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Brush top with melted butter.
