Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. starter
- 1 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 5 to 6 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- water (enough to make a thick batter; let it stand in a warm place for 24 hours or more)
Directions

1Combine 1 cup flour, sugar and undissolved yeast.

2In a large bowl, mix milk and margarine; heat to warm.

3Gradually add to dry ingredients.

4Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed.

5Add 1 1/2 cups starter and 1 cup flour to make stiff dough.

6Turn out onto a floured board; knead until smooth, 8 to 10 minutes.

7Place in a greased bowl.

8Cover; let rise until double.

9Punch down.

10Let stand 15 minutes.

11Makes 2 loaves.

12Let rise until double in loaf pan.

13Bake at 400° for 30 minutes.
