Ingredients

  • 5 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 c. or less sugar
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 3/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    In another dish, mix yeast with warm water (dissolve the yeast).

    Then add to this yeast and water mixture the oil and buttermilk.

    Now add the liquid mixture to the dry mixture and mix well.

    Pinch off what you want to cook at the present time and roll it in flour. Grease muffin pan.

    Pinch off for each roll and put in pan.

    Butter tops of rolls with melted butter.

    Cook at about 375° until done.

    Place balance of mixture in an airtight covered container.

    Place in refrigerator.

    This mixture will keep for about a week.

    Pinch off and cook as you wish.
