- 2 cups flour
- Bottled water
- 4 potatoes
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Peel and boil four potatoes in enough bottled water to cover.

2Reserve two cups of the potatoe water, combine dry ingredients, then let potatoe water cool to lukewarm then pour into ingredients and stir.

3Put into glass mason jar or plastic jar and cover loosely with a flour sack dishtowel.

4Let sit for 4-14 days until it becomes bubbly and frothy.

5Poke a hole in lid that fits the jar.

6Stir occasionally and refrigerate.

7If not used every one to two weeks, take half of starter and discard then add back into the other half of the starter ingredients one cup of flour and one cup of water.
