- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1 2/3 c. milk
- 1 c. water
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix brown sugar, salt and cornstarch in a saucepan.

2Add egg yolks, milk, water and butter.

3Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils.

4Add vanilla.

5Pour into 9-inch baked pie crust and top with meringue.
