- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. warm buttermilk
- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 4 tsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 c. melted butter
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm buttermilk; set aside.

2Sift together the flour, salt, soda and sugar.

3Cut margarine into dry ingredients.

4Add buttermilk-yeast mixture; stir until well blended.

5Knead and roll out to 1/4-inch thick.

6Cut with biscuit cutter.

7Spray pan with Pam.

8Place biscuits on baking pan so they are touching each other.

9Brush tops with melted butter.

10Place another biscuit on top of buttered biscuit.

11Brush top with butter.

12Let rise at room temperature 1 hour.

13Bake at 425° for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

14Makes about 2 dozen.
