- 8 tender ears corn
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
Directions

1Cut corn from cob.

2(Cut top grain, then scrape cob with knife.)

3Combine sugar, salt, flour and pepper and add to corn, mixing well.

4Add water and mix well.

5Heat bacon drippings in skillet over medium to low heat.

6Add corn mixture, cooking slowly until creamy (about 10 minutes).

7Stir continuously.

8Remove from heat and add a little butter if desired.
