Southern Fried Corn

Ingredients

  • 1 doz. ears sweet corn, cleaned
  • 3 to 4 strips smoked bacon
  • 1 c. chopped ham or smoked sausage slices
  • 1/2 c. milk or half and half cream
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Slice corn kernels by cutting 1/2 way through and then scraping the rest for the milk.

    Fry the bacon crisp and set aside.

    Fry the ham or sausage slices in the bacon drippings.

    Add corn and cook until done.

    Add milk.

    Crumble bacon on top and serve.
