- 1/2 c. hominy grits
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1 1/3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. chopped almonds
Directions

1Prepare grits in salted, boiling water as directed on package. Stir in sugar and butter.

2Add eggs, milk and vanilla to the mixture.

3Fold in the raisins and almonds.

4Pour into a greased 8-inch square baking dish.

5Sprinkle cinnamon on top.

6Bake in preheated slow oven at 325° for approximately 50 minutes.

7May serve hot or cold.

8Garnish with whipped topping if desired.
