- 4 ears fresh corn
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 c. milk
Directions

1Remove silk from ears of corn.

2With sharp, paring knife, cut kernels from corn.

3Scrape cobs well to remove juice.

4Melt butter in a large frypan.

5Stir in corn and juices.
-
6Add water, sugar, salt and pepper.

7Cover and simmer until tender, about 15 minutes. To thicken, blend flour into milk, and add to corn.

8Bring to a boil.
-
9Continue cooking 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
