  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/4 cups soy milk
  • 1 cup nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce, tamari
  • 3 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 2 teaspoons allspice

    Oil oven-proof bowl or empty tin can.

    Fill it and cover with foil.

    Steam on rack for 1 1/2 hours, or pressure cook in 5 cups water for 30 minutes.
