- 5 c. thinly sliced apples
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. oats
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- a dash of salt
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Toss apples with lemon and water; put in baking dish.

2In large bowl, combine flour, oats, sugar, nutmeg and salt.

3Mix thoroughly.

4Cut in margarine and add nuts.

5Crumble over apples to cover completely.

6Do not pack down.

7Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
