- 3/4 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. spaghetti
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- salt and pepper
Directions

1In a heavy skillet, brown ground beef.

2Add onion and celery. Cook for a few minutes.

3Drain off fat.

4Add tomatoes, brown sugar, salt and pepper to taste.

5Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water for 10 minutes.

6Drain and rinse.

7Layer spaghetti and meat mixture in casserole dish.

8Cover and bake 45 minutes at 350°.

9Serves 8 generously.
