  • 1 lb. spaghetti
  • 1 c. unsmoked ham or bacon, chopped in 1-inch pieces
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. cooked green peas
  • 1 c. spaghetti sauce or tomato puree
  • 1 c. light cream
  • freshly ground pepper
  • freshly grated Romano or Parmesan cheese

    In medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

    Add ham or bacon; saute quickly.

    Add sauce or puree; stir in cream.

    Allow sauce to cook down and thicken.

    Add more sauce and/or cream, if desired (sauce should be orange-pink).

    Toss in cooked peas.
