- 1 c. unsmoked ham or bacon, chopped in 1-inch pieces
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. cooked green peas
- 1 c. spaghetti sauce or tomato puree
- 1 c. light cream
- freshly ground pepper
- freshly grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
Directions

1In medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

2Add ham or bacon; saute quickly.

3Add sauce or puree; stir in cream.

4Allow sauce to cook down and thicken.

5Add more sauce and/or cream, if desired (sauce should be orange-pink).
