Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
- 1/3 c. tomato ketchup
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 small bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 to 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1/4 tsp. sugar (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 small box spaghetti
Directions

1Melt margarine or butter in a heavy skillet and saute onion, bell pepper and celery.

2Add ground beef and stir until beef loses its redness.

3Add tomatoes, ketchup, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce.

4Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about one hour.

5Additional seasonings may be added if desired:

6such as celery seed, chili powder or oregano.

7Use salt and pepper to taste.

8Serve over cooked spaghetti.
